Pretty on the outside - Deadly on the inside
We had a nice slow start this morning, a bit of sorting out before we set off for Yosemite. Found a petshop, and bought a couple of things for Elmo:)
Then we were off to Oakhurst, just outside Yosemite.

We were too early to check into the hotel, so we decided to go on into the park.

... Here we go again, more really big trees.
You've just gotta love 'em though.
Rather than go into the valley itself, we had a look around Mariposa grove.
A stand of about 500 giant Sequoia trees. Have we mentioned they are BIG.

Went back to the hotel just as the sun was going down,
and settled in for the night.
Huge room, very comfortable. Have heard rumours of lots of water in the park,
so are looking forward to seeing some waterfalls tomorrow.
